Buy #1: Dario Saric

I am once again asking you to buy Dario Saric. His rostered % on yahoo (at the time of writing, 35%) continues to baffle me. As mentioned in my Week 3 article, while he may not be the best 9 cat guy in terms of rank, he comes out as almost a Kyle Kuzma-lite where he’s very very useful in guard heavy builds and/or punt blocks builds. Kerr seems undecided on a long term starter at center and seems to be playing the matchups in regards to whether he starts Dario or Looney. I also previously mentioned that if his steals were to come up to his career average of 0.6-0.7, that would make him way more useful. Well, he’s done that and has managed to improve every single category in addition over the last few weeks. He is inching his way to the top 100, currently ranking 112 on the season, and he’s putting up some awesome stat lines. He needs to be picked up.

Relevancy: Needs to be owned in all 10t+ leagues.

Buy #2: Kyle Lowry

Boring, I know. But Lowry is quietly having himself a nice season. 4.4 assists and 1.4 steals per game does not belong on the wire, regardless of how washed you think he may be. The FG% isn’t great, but you should be able to stomach it since he’s not out there taking 15 shots per game. Lowry is currently ranked #86 on the season, and is an elite streamer or a nice guy to have to round out your bench. Go grab him if he’s floating around.

Relevancy: Elite streamer in all leagues and/or nice pickup in 12+ team.

Buy #3: Cole Anthony

Cole Anthony is another guy that the 9cat ranking formula just doesn’t take too kindly to. The lower FG% and TO per game being over 2 really knocks him down a few pegs, but if you take a look at what he’s actually contributing in terms of stat lines, you’d see he can be a massively useful asset to your team. Take a look at his production since November 14:

He’s contributing everywhere, and every team should have a spot for him. Yes, he may take a hit when Fultz returns, but something important to note is just how well Orlando is playing with Anthony in such a big role. It’s very possible that it’ll be Anthony Black who is the biggest loser in terms of production. Ignore Cole’s #163 rank on the year, he can help, and should be able to help all season.

Relevancy: All leagues and formats.

Sell #1: DeAndre Hunter

Season Stats:

1630.7.465.8571.914.44.21.30.90.41.5

This is a textbook sell high situation. DeAndre Hunter for his entire career has been a mediocre at best fantasy asset, only providing points, boards, and a splash of threes. Jalen Johnson is out 4-6 weeks, which should give him a bit of a bigger role moving forward, but we’ve seen him with this kind of role before and over his last few games he’s overperforming to a level that I do not believe is sustainable. Let’s compare his stats this season to his from last year:

We’re looking at almost identical numbers here, and last year he finished #196 on the season, and wasn’t very useful in just about any build outside of a points streamer.

Over the past week, he’s ranked #36, mostly due to him shooting over 52% from the field and a higher steal rate over the past few games. If somebody is buying into this as some sort of legitimate breakout and is willing to give you something decent for him, I would take it in an instant. He’s not a bad pickup in the short term, but I think you help yourself more down the stretch if you’re able to get something for him now.
