Buy #1: Ayo Dosunmu

Season stats:
| GP | MPG | FG% | FT% | 3PM | PTS | REB | AST | STL | BLK | TO |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 48 | 24.6 | .493 | .793 | 1.2 | 9.6 | 2.6 | 2.2 | 0.8 | 0.5 | 1.0 |
Ayo is quietly turning into somebody that may be able to help your playoff push this late in the season. Post-Lavine injury (Jan 18), here is what Ayo has been doing:
| GP | MPG | FG% | FT% | 3PM | PTS | REB | AST | STL | BLK | TO |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 8 | 33.7 | .556 | .800 | 1.2 | 15.9 | 3.1 | 3.3 | 1.3 | 1.1 | 1.8 |
That’s good the 53rd overall in 9-cat. With LaVine out for the season and the Bulls rumored to potentially ship off some pieces at the deadline, that makes Ayo a strong add in redraft leagues (only owned in 42% of Yahoo leagues)
However, similar to Jaime Jaquez last week, he’s a bit of a both a buy and a sell, as in dynasty leagues I’m not sure his value gets any higher than this. He’s shown that he’s got a floor of zero when playing next to higher usage guys and I would deem it unlikely that Ayo keeps this up beyond this season. Getting something that’s a safer bet in dynasty leagues would probably be a good idea, as prior to January 18th he ranked #229 on the year with averages of 8/2/2/0.7/0.3
Relevancy: Must own in 12+ team, good pickup in 10t. Possible SELL in dynasty leagues.
Buy #2: Josh Green

Season stats:
| GP | MPG | FG% | FT% | 3PM | PTS | REB | AST | STL | BLK | TO |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 37 | 27.3 | .482 | .619 | 1.8 | 8.8 | 3.3 | 2.6 | 0.7 | 0.1 | 1.2 |
The Mavs big FA signing this offseason, Grant Williams, has been terrible. They are begging for somebody to step up as that 3rd option. Tim Hardaway Jr is super streaky, and very one dimensional for fantasy purposes. Josh Green, who has taken over an elevated role the last few weeks, I think has a chance to be a massive contributor moving forward for Dallas. He can defend, he can score, with a splash of assists and steals, he’s a great lower end guard to have on your fantasy team with the upside for more on nights where Kyrie misses or Luka has to take a game off. He’s not really going to hurt you much of anywhere (the FT is only 1-ish attempt per game, don’t overthink it).
He’s locked in long term as clearly somebody they like, the last thing he has to do is demonstrate the ability to put up big stats on a nightly basis with both Luka & Kyrie healthy. He’s drilling 40% of his 3 pointers, (albeit on only 3-ish attempts per game), which is the perfect guy to stick next to those two, just would like to see him take a couple more. Great dynasty buy as I think he can only get better from here playing next to one of the best players in the world. If he can swipe a few more passes to get his steals over 1 per game, watch out.
Relevancy: Good streamer in redraft leagues. Strong, sneaky buy in dynasty leagues.
Buy #3: Rui Hachimura

Season stats:
| GP | MPG | FG% | FT% | 3PM | PTS | REB | AST | STL | BLK | TO |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 37 | 23 | .495 | .753 | 1.2 | 11.4 | 3.6 | 1.1 | 0.7 | 0.2 | 0.8 |
I do not understand Darvin Ham’s obsession with Taurean Prince. He’s out there way, way more than he should be, and it kind of seems like the idea of Taurean Prince as a switchy wing who drains 3s is better than the actual one. However, Vando is likely done for the season, so Ham is forced to play Rui more than his average of 23 MPG moving forward, right? Right?!
I don’t feel as good about this one as I do the other two, but this is moreso trying to get ahead of the curve here. Rui needs to add either more 3s or more stocks to his fantasy game to creep past streamer status, but who says it’s not possible for him to start draining more 3s playing next to thing king? He’s shooting 39% on the year, but only on 3 per game! Take more Rui! He’s only owned in 17% of Yahoo leagues and I think those in deeper leagues would be wise to grab him. He’s likely also very cheap in dynasty leagues due to his admittedly poor fantasy skillset to this point, but I like him as a speculative grab.
Relevancy: Decent deep league add. Good cheap buy in dynasty leagues.
Sell #1: Buddy Hield

Season stats:
| GP | MPG | FG% | FT% | 3PM | PTS | REB | AST | STL | BLK | TO |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 51 | 25.7 | .439 | .846 | 2.7 | 12.0 | 3.2 | 2.6 | 0.8 | 0.6 | 1.2 |
Buddy is having a hard time adapting after the Siakam trade.

His minutes are down, he’s not hitting his shots, his role is in flux. He’s had a super inconsistent year this year even before Siakam came in. He’s trending towards a drop in redraft leagues as he’s not helping you at all if he’s not hitting his shots. He played a season low 12 minutes in his last game on 2/4. I’m just not sure if he’s able to bounce back from this on this Pacers team as Aaron Nesmith seems to have totally overtaken him in the rotation and is red hot.
I’d probably sell based on name value in dynasty leagues if I can, as it remains to be seen if he’ll get the massive amount of shots he needs to be relevant even in the event of a trade.
At least he’s still an iron man, though.
