Buy #1: Taylor Hendricks

Season stats:
| GP | MPG | FG% | FT% | 3PM | PTS | REB | AST | STL | BLK | TO |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 19 | 15.9 | .413 | .778 | 0.9 | 5.3 | 3.2 | 0.5 | 0.6 | 0.5 | 0.8 |
After a few moves for Utah at the deadline, they’ve managed to open up minutes for top draft choice Taylor Hendricks. Here is what his first 6 games after entering the rotation have looked like:

Playing about 17 minutes per game in the first 4, and 26 per game in the most recent 2 joining the starting lineup, the numbers aren’t jumping out at you right away. However, his arrow should be firmly pointed up. For those unfamiliar, Hendricks is more of a 3&D big man type like Jerami Grant or a smaller Jaren Jackson Jr. There’s some legitimate 1/1/1 on 3s STLs BLKs potential hre down the stretch. It remains to be seen if his FG% can stay close to his 45% that he shot in the G League this year, but it’s very possible he stays down closer to 40 to finish out the year. He is still also behind Lauri and John Collins in terms of touches, but an injury to either could open up way more usage for him, and he’s got the potential for some big stat lines down the stretch. In deeper leagues he should have been scooped already, but judging by his rostered % of only 6 on Yahoo, he’s still widely available. If it looks like you’ve secured a playoff spot in 12 teamers, he’s somebody I would strongly consider grabbing. Anything deeper and he’s a must own.
Relevancy: Must own in 14+, strong speculative pickup in 12 teamers.
Buy #2: Cody Martin

Season stats:
| GP | MPG | FG% | FT% | 3PM | PTS | REB | AST | STL | BLK | TO |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 25 | 26.8 | .389 | .567 | 1.0 | 7.7 | 3.9 | 3.6 | 1.3 | 0.6 | 1.6 |
I’m surprised we don’t see more discussion on Cody Martin as a pickup right now. Yes, I see the percentages, although I’m not worried about his FT as he almost never get’s to the line. Since he’s gotten healthy, he’s been quite a beast in the stocks department, seemingly with upside of multiple steals and blocks on any given night. The low end assists out of the forward spot can be a godsend for some teams as well. He’s definitely somebody I’m rostering if I’m punting either percentages but I think he has a place on just about any squad. With LaMelo out, he has awesome counting stat upside, emphasized by his 11/6/10/2/1 line last night. Even though he doesn’t have a ton of scoring upside, he’s a strong pickup for me for anybody looking to boost counting stats. He’s only owned in 6% of Yahoo leagues, and it should be a decent amount higher than that. If you’re holding somebody like Bruce Brown still, go ahead and make this switch.
When/if LaMelo returns, he may still be useable in deep leagues. But until then, he’s a fun guy to roster.
Relevancy: Strong add for anybody looking to boost assists, steals, or even blocks from the SG/SF position.
Buy #3: Corey Kispert

Season stats:
| GP | MPG | FG% | FT% | 3PM | PTS | REB | AST | STL | BLK | TO |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 55 | 22.3 | .479 | .778 | 2.1 | 12.5 | 2.5 | 1.6 | 0.4 | 0.1 | 1.1 |
Kispert has quietly been on a tear for the last month or so.

It’s possible, (although I’m not sure it’s necessarily likely) that the Wizards start being a little more cautious with higher usage guys like Kyle Kuzma and Tyus Jones down the stretch, and in steps Corey Kispert. The one thing missing from his game to this point has been a lack of steals, making him firmly a 2 cat guy with 3’s and points, but it seems the increased playing time has him swiping enough passes to get that average up to a useable number, with 0.8 in the last month. He can heat up quickly on any given night, and the Wizards still often score a lot of points, it’s just that they allow so many as well. With Coulibaly banged up now a bit as well, I expect Kispert to maintain his high usage and be a nice reliable floor guy on a nightly basis. Don’t rush to get him, but he’s a nice guy to stream or to have at the end of your bench.
Relevancy: Good streamer, solid floor play.
Sell #1: Bojan Bogdanovic

The run for Bojan this season may be over. In his time as a New York Knick, his counting stats are predictably down.

He does not have the ball in his hands nearly as much as he did in Detroit, and with his minutes dropping below 20 in his most recent game, he may be trending towards a drop as the Knicks begin to get a little healthier. One singular assist across 4 games is not going to get it done for most teams, and him missing FTs is killer for any punt assist teams that may still want to keep him. There still may be some streaming value here, as he can get hot quickly, but the floor on a nightly basis is essentially zero as he isn’t the only player capable of scoring like he was in Detroit.
70% owned in Yahoo leagues is absurd, and some would argue that was too high even in Detroit.
The Knicks having a poor playoff schedule as well should be the nail in the coffin for him. If you own Bojan and can swap him for somebody like Kispert, I’d do that instantly.
